I've published 56 books in the past 4 years.
And now I know some of you may be thinking that you still don't think you could become an author, but I want to share something with you real quick about why becoming an author is so important to me.
One day, about 9 years ago (before I was a homeschooler), my oldest daughter came home from school SUPER excited. She was in Kindergarten at the time, and she told me ALL about this author that came to her school and how she wished she could be one too.
This pulled on some major heart strings for me because, to be honest, at that time I was a single mom living pay check to pay check in a tiny house with 3 little ones in tote.
ALL I WANTED WAS TO MAKE THAT DREAM A REALITY FOR MY DAUGHTER because I just KNEW that that was going to be the KEY to her success in life. I wanted to SUPPORT her and INSPIRE her to have better and be better than me.
They say that parents are the # 1 influence of their kids. So what better way to support my daughter in her dream then to SHOW her it was possible?
So I made it my mission to do just that. I wanted to be able to hold a real live book in my hand and sit down and read it with her.
Something we created TOGETHER...
My author journey started with my daughter, but as the years went on, writing took on a whole new meaning for me...
It became a way to process my thoughts and feelings as my family dealt with some really hard things.
With every word I wrote, every book I published, thoughts literally disentangled themselves and the more I understood story, the more I understood myself and my journey.
Ultimately...Writing changed my mind, body, and soul for the better.
It helped me heal and move on to create the next chapter of my life...
